Since 2020, repression in Belarus has taken on a systemic character due to the unprecedented application of “anti-extremism” legislation, turning political persecution into a well-oiled mechanism. In our reviews, we analyze key trends, present specific cases, and show how anti-extremism laws have become a tool of mass repression.
